Cork is associated with the authentic finish for crafted beverages.

Apart of synonymous to traditional Belgium beer, cork became increasingly popular over the past few years among new craft brewers, who seek to cloak themselves in the aura of tradition and quality.

The fact that it opens with a pop, like champagne and wine, is an unmistakable sound that alerts the other senses and people in the room that something good is soon to come. Such elegant, high-class ritual is also associated with high prestige beverages.

Cork-finished beers also stands out on shelves. Just a little taller than the other bottles, there is something a bit more formal about them.

And there is something more to be said for cork. It provides an airtight seal for long-term aging and thanks to its chemical characteristics, containing the same phenol compounds that are present in oak barrels, might add exciting new depths of aroma and flavor to the final product, leading to richer and more complex beers.
